starting fresh

I've decided to start fresh with this whole journal thing. I've had others but just got bored. Honestly I'll probably get bored with this one too. Oh well, I'll give it a shot I guess.

Anyway... This journal will be here to document my life as I see and feel it. Thoughts that go through my mind about what's happening in my life. Enjoy.

I recently got out of the hospital for what originally was a urinary tract infection and fever, little did I know it would be a lot more than that and a bit more serious. They took blood work, did tests, kept me on constant fluids and antibiotics. What they found was that the main artery in my liver is narrow. Which in my mind I'm freaking out because that can't be a good thing. The doctors tell me and my very worried parents that my artery will continue to narrow and will cause less blood to get to my liver which means my liver will get less oxygen and nutrients, so basically my liver is dying and will soon (eventually) be dead. Hmmm. I'm 23 and I need another liver, although I'm not entirely thrilled about this idea but I would rather have it be me than anyone else. I know how to fight my battles and I wouldn't want this kind of thing to happen to my mom, dad, sister, grandma's, aunts, uncles, etcetera. I'm a strong little one, I know I'll be okay and if not then hey, it's meant to be. I mean I'm still human and the idea of going through all of this scares the shit out of me because yeah, I don't really want to die or whatever but no one really does, I won't let that keep me from living. Nothing will keep me down! So for all of you that are worried, please don't :) I appreciate the concern though, thank you.

So if the time comes where I need a new liver again, who would like to donate??? Haha!
